“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” -2 Corinthians 5:17

On the night before Jesus was executed on a cross, he said to his followers, “Abide in me” (John 15:1-11). We believe this is one of the most profound invitations ever given to humanity – that the God of the universe desires for us to cultivate a close, ongoing relationship with Him. To get his point across, Jesus described branches of grapes adjoined to a central vine, receiving sustenance and ultimately bearing fruit.

We believe that since we are created in the image and likeness of God, spirit is the center of our identity and our character. Through the presence of His Holy Spirit, God transforms us to be more like Him. The more we receive from Him, the more completely we realize our true identity and character, and the more completely we can provide hope in Jesus’ name to those around us.
