Children’s Church in Action
Last Sunday, Hope had a special presentation at the end of the Service! It was a wonderful time to hear how much creative learning is going on in our Children’s Program! For the past week and for the upcoming time ahead, Children’s Church is aligning with the sermon series The Names of God. Each week, the kids are learning about the same name of God as the adults and one child volunteers to color in the Hebrew letters while the others do a craft related to the name. In this picture, you see one of our 1st grade girls describing the name of God, the Creator, that they learned about and explaining that she chose the colors of the rainbow to represent God’s creation of the rainbow. The other two older elementary girls are describing the pictures of God’s creation that they and others in the class drew. COMMUNION & WORSHIP SERVICE | SUNDAY APRIL 14 | 9 AM. Join us on Sunday at 9 a.m. for the second week in our study on the names of God. We will take a look at the Hebrew name “El Elyon” which was first introduced in a fascinating story of rebellion, war, hostage taking, hostage retrieval and an unexpected reminder of God’s blessing to Abram and the world; a reminder we all need from El Elyon, God Most High! HOPE GROUPS. We are so thankful for all the Sunday service assistance from our wonderful Hope Groups. This Sunday, we thank the Aurora Hope Group for helping! Hope Groups are an amazing way to connect to others, deepen your relationship with God, and discover there is a family here for you at Hope. CHILDREN’S MINISTRY.
Children’s Church. This 2nd Sunday of April, Children’s Church will be continuing on in our new series,The Names of God. This week, we will be learning about God Most High! Kids, if you are 3 yrs old – 5th grade, we hope you will join us for this time of getting to know God better while having fun and building friendship.
Nursery. Nursery is available for children 2 yrs old and under on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. This week, families with younger children are invited to remain in the sanctuary or utilize the baby sky box. For any questions about Children’s Ministry, please contact Becky Newquist.
FINANCIAL UPDATE. Giving was higher in March due to several generous gifts and we continue to be in a cash-positive position this ministry year. We thank God for the many households who give generously and consistently to Hope Church, resourcing us to fulfill Christ’s mission and vision in our community and around the world! You can give online here, by mailing a check to 1801 S. Logan St. Denver, CO 80210, or by using the offering boxes in the sanctuary.
FOOD BANK. The Community Ministry is in need of the following items: Canned Fruit, Jelly, Diapers Size 5 & 7. Please consider donating these items by placing them in the collection basket in the foyer. Thank you, Hope!
