For the past few week’s Hope’s Children’s Ministry has been collecting donations for a local elementary school that serves a range of needs. What a joy it is for our children to experience giving in this way. Great job kids! Keep on the lookout for future opportunities to share love to our neighbors! And thank you to everyone who contributed to this school supply drive!
9 AM SUNDAY WORSHIP | AUGUST 27. In addition to becoming a church that blesses children (last week’s focus), we also sense God is calling us to include space for more participation within our Sunday gathering times together. Join us this Sunday at 9 a.m. for our monthly family service as we consider what it could look like to have people of all ages involved in various aspects of our times together. This week, we will include opportunities for people to help with music, engage ideas in the message and serve communion. It will be so good to, once again, experience God’s presence and guidance together! Lead Pastor Dean Wertz brings us a message titled Imagine a Church Service Involving Everyone! from I Corinthians 14:26. CHILDREN’S MINISTRY.
CHILDREN’S CHURCH. This 4th Sunday of the month is a Family Service, in which children of all ages are invited to participate in worship and teaching along with their families. Activity packets and sermon notes for preschool and elementary aged children will be available at the Welcome Booth. Families with young children are invited to utilize our Baby Sky Box for added privacy.
TODAY! Kids Pool Party – Let’s wrap up the summer together with a splash! Children’s Ministry Families are invited to a Pool & Pizza Party today Friday, August 25, 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. @ the Wories’ Pool! This event is weather-permitting. Please RSVP by Aug 23 with number of adults + kids, and any dietary restrictions. Contact Becky with questions or to let us know you are coming.
YOUTH. Don’t forget Laser Tag Night on Friday, September 1 from 6 to 9 p.m.here at Hope Church! We’ll have plenty of equipment for you to bring all your friends to play. We’ll have pizza, music, games, and tons of fun as we kick-off the school year! RSVP with Tara if you plan on attending.

The local Community Ministry is in need of these specific items. mac & cheese, tomato products, soup, stuffing, pie crust mix, evaporated milk, gravy packets, cake, frosting, boys clothes (6 and under), diapers (size 7), plastic grocery bags.Please consider donating at this important time. Items can be brought to the collection basket in the Foyer.
JOIN THE WORSHIP TEAM! The worship team would like to have more vocalists consider joining the group. Practices are Thursday evenings and female voices are especially welcome to balance the worship team. We’d love to sing with you! Please contact Joel Noble if interested and thank you!
7 PM THURSDAY WORSHIP | ALL INVITED. Calling all those who love to sing and/or play instruments! We are now gathering every Thursday in the Sanctuary from 7 – 9 p.m. Joel Noble, will be bringing extra instruments and offer casual lessons for those who want to learn to play guitar/ukulele/bass/mandolin/etc! During this time the worship team will also practice for Sunday mornings. Bring your instruments and your favorite worship songs in mind. Some weeks we may even enjoy a meal all together.
