YEAR-END GIVING | HOPE NEEDS YOU!
Dear Hope,
Thank you to all of you who give to Hope throughout the year and give extra offerings in December! During our last ministry year (Sept. ’21 – Aug. ’22), 54 households gave consistently. This is incredible. Reflecting back to last December ’21, 34 households contributed year-end gifts. We were in great need and many of you responded generously, allowing us to move forward and finish the ministry year in a cash positive position!
Now, this ministry year, we again have a need. As you can see below, in the first three months of this ministry year, our income has been $21,000 less than our expenses. A deficit like this at this point in the ministry year is not abnormal and when composing our annual budget, which we as a congregation approved in August, our Budget Team anticipated that monthly giving deficits would be offset by our generous year-end giving. This is why Hope needs you.
In recent weeks we have heard from Bridget Cupp and Dan Kaskubar, two of our nine Budget Team members asking us all to take time to be alone with God (who owns it all) to ask Him how each of our households can help so Hope can continue to thrive in our mission in 2023. So, as we approach the end of 2022, will you prayerfully join us before December 31 in these ways?
- For those who you are not in the habit of giving to the ministry of Hope, would you please consider giving on a regular basis in 2023?
- For those who have been given the financial capacity, would you consider increasing your giving in 2023?
- For EVERYONE, would you pray about giving an extra generous offering by December 31 to assist in our present financial need?

If God prompts you to give, you can do so by using our offering boxes; mailing a check to Hope Church, 1801 South Logan Street, Denver, CO 80210; or using our online giving platform. If you are led to give a year-end gift, please ensure that your check is delivered to Hope or give online by midnight Saturday, December 31.
The Budget Team and I thank you for abiding in Christ as you seek His guidance in this request as in all of life!

YOUTH. Hey, students! Enjoy your last week of school before Winter Break! Come and celebrate the Christmas season with us tonight (December 16) at 6:00 p.m. in the Commons for a Christmas Movie Night! CHRISTMAS WEEKEND. Since Christmas falls on a Sunday this year, there have been several conversations about how this weekend should look for our Hope family. After listening, considering and praying, here’s how we will proceed. We will gather on Christmas Eve (Saturday December 24) at 6 p.m. to celebrate the coming of Jesus. This will be a great service to invite friends and family to come with you to. We will not have an in-person service on Sunday morning but will provide a pre-recorded Christmas service on the Sunday Service page at our web site.
THE STORY – 2023. On Sunday January 1, we will begin a new sermon series and annual focus entitled, The Story. Each Sunday morning, a member of our preaching team will cover the major events of each unit and connect those events to the larger story of God’s love for humanity. Many of our groups will discuss the theme of the week and everyone has the option to purchase a copy of an aligning book called, The Story at the links below. A Children’s Book and Teen version are also available for those who would like to engage every member of your household! Together, we will discover the unfolding progression of Bible characters and events from Genesis to Revelation. Like any good story, The Story is filled with intrigue, drama, conflict, romance, and redemption – and this story is true! For anyone curious about the Bible, new to Hope, new to the Bible or new to a life with Jesus this will be an incredible opportunity to learn the united and comprehensive story of the Bible. To purchase a copy of The Story, click on either of these options: Printed Version | Ebook Version
