This Holiday Season we are so proud of the many people from Hope who dove into Operation Christmas Child and gave from their heart. You gathered gifts, donated funds, and spent hours packing boxes so that children around the world would have a blessed Christmas and learn about Jesus. This year we collected over 150 boxes. Thank you so much to Joan Thacker our tireless and faithful coordinator!
3RD SUNDAY OF ADVENT | DECEMBER 11 | 9 AM. In every birth announcement, there are similarities and differences. Join us at 9 a.m. this Sunday, the 3rd Sunday of Advent, as we worship and reflect on Jesus’ unique announcement filled with good news of great joy! CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON FOR SENIOR WOMEN & FRIENDS. 
During this beautiful and joyful Christmas season we remember and rejoice at the birth of our Savior! What a wonderful opportunity to gather in person for this year’s Christmas Luncheon! You are invited to enjoy a delicious “all you can eat” meal with us at Golden Corral Restaurant on Tuesday, December 13 at 11:30 a.m. Golden Corral is located at 3677 South Santa Fe Drive, Englewood 80110. CHILDREN’S CHURCH. Children, ages 2-5th grade are invited to participate in Children’s Church this 2nd Sunday of December. We will begin our time with a short Advent devotional and then switch gears to rehearsing for the upcoming Christmas Program. ADDITIONAL CHILDREN’S CHOIR & CHRISTMAS PLAY REHEARSAL. All kids participating in the Christmas Program are requested to stay for an additional rehearsal (10:00 – 10:45 a.m.). We will be practicing on stage this week!
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM. The children of Hope are working diligently on a Christmas program that will be shared during our Sunday service, December 18! Mark your calendars and prepare your hearts to be delighted by the telling of the birth of our Savior through the children’s narration and theatrical interpretation. The Children’s Choir will also be leading the congregation in traditional Christmas carols.
YOUTH. Hey students! Come and join us this Sunday after the service between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. or games, snacks, and a sermon discussion on Advent. Can’t wait to see you there!
THE STORY – 2023. This January, we begin a brand-new sermon series: The Story. Condensed into 31 accessible chapters, The Story sweeps you into the unfolding progression of Bible characters and events from Genesis to Revelation. Using the world’s most popular modern-English Bible, the New International Version, it allows the stories, poems, and teachings of the Bible to read like a novel. Like any good story, The Story is filled with intrigue, drama, conflict, romance, and redemption – and this story’s true! Each Sunday morning, a member of our preaching team will cover the major events of each chapter, and connect those events to the larger story of God’s love for humanity. Optionally, you can purchase your own copy of The Story at the links below to follow along on your own at home (they also offer a Children’s Book and Teen version to engage every member of your household!) For anyone new to Hope, new to the Bible, or new to a life with Jesus this will be an incredible opportunity to learn about the comprehensive story of scripture.
