Dear Hope,
As our Elder Chairman, Dan Kaskubar, explained, I will begin a 6-week Sabbatical this Monday, February 5.
Rebecca and I wish to thank our loving and supportive elders, kind and hardworking staff, trustworthy preaching team and all of you for this opportunity for renewal. We will pray for you and look forward to returning briefly for the service to thank God for Pauline Haines on Friday, February 16 and then on March 18 to reengage our ongoing responsibilities, refreshed and excited for all God has for our journey through Holy Week and beyond.
In the meantime, we are excited to worship together this Sunday and meet afterwards for an all-church meeting to celebrate God’s goodness in- and through Hope.
We love you; we will miss you and we are grateful for our abide-in-Christ leaders in whose hands His church is so well led and through whom we are richly blessed .
Love,
Rebecca & Dean

FEBRUARY 4 | 9AM WORSHIP. How should we respond when those in authority are unkind, unjust and disrespectful? The Apostle Peter saw Jesus live beautifully when He was revered and reviled. Peter then relayed what he learned in 1 Peter 2:13-3:7. Join us this Sunday at 9 a.m. as we learn more about Jesus’ beautiful way when those in authority increase the chaos through unjust suffering. Lead Pastor Dean Wertz will continue our study Gentleness – A Beautiful Way in a Chaotic World with a message titled God’s Unique View of Honor. If you are unable to join us in person, please visit the 9 a.m. livestream or view the sermon recording here. As a reminder, all past sermon recordings are available online.
HOPE GROUPS. We are so thankful for all the Sunday service assistance from our wonderful Hope Groups. This Sunday, we thank the Platt Park Hope Group for helping! Hope Groups are an amazing way to connect to others, deepen your relationship with God, and discover there is a family here for you at Hope.
