Dear Hope,
Did you know that a few new and exciting next steps are happening in our Children’s Ministry? After many years of faithful leadership with our Children’s Ministry, Anna McMichael handed the baton to Becky Newquist last year. Thank you, once again, Anna! What gave Becky the sense that this was God’s next step for her was a vision to see parents connect and pray together. This opportunity is now up and running on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 9:00 a.m. According to Becky, parents and all who want to pray for children are invited! Something else Becky sensed God wanted at Hope was a Children’s Choir. Amazingly, Kelsey Hoot, who loves music and artistic expression, signed on to unite with us as an intern for the year. So, our Children’s Christmas Program and our every-other-month Children’s Choir presentation in our Sunday Services are up and running. Among other roles, Kelsey leads choir practice for the children twice each month. All of this is in addition to our kids digging deep, early in the winter, into the essential truths of the Gospel and now learning about God through our all-church focus on Knowing God from the great stories throughout the Bible in 2023. Thank you to all parents and volunteers who invest in these young souls whom Jesus and all of us at Hope love so much!
Love, Dean

SUNDAY WORSHIP | FEBRUARY 5 | 9 AM. A wise child learns from the successes and mistakes of their parents. Likewise, we can gain wisdom from observing the choices of previous generations including the people of Israel during their 40 years wandering in the wilderness. Join us on Sunday at 9 a.m. as we rediscover God’s path for His people (then and now) to receive and experience His good and blessed life! Lead Pastor Dean Wertz brings us a message entitled Where Shall We Find the Good Life? from Exodus 30:15-20. If you are not able to attend the Service in person, join us via livestream or view the recording here!
HOPE GROUPS. This Sunday’s Service will be hosted by the *new* Young Adults Hope Group – thank you! If you’ve been thinking about joining a Hope group, we’d love to connect with you! Click here for more information.

CHILDREN’S CHURCH. All kids ages 2-5th grade are invited to Children’s Church this week, where we will be putting ourselves in the shoes of the Israelites who, for 40 years, wandered and waited to enter the Promised Land. We will see how God provided for the Israelites then and provides for us today in our own seasons of waiting and wandering.
FEBRUARY UPDATE: FOOD BANK. The Community Ministry Food Bank is looking for February donations. Can you please consider donating canned fruit, corn and/or tomato products? A collection basket is in the Foyer. Thank you so much!
