FEBRUARY 11 | 9AM WORSHIP. As those who have tasted that the Lord is good, how should we respond when we are being accused, persecuted, hurt or despised? The difficult answer is to bless those who are doing evil to you! The apostle Peter shares from a life of following Jesus how to do this in 1 Peter 3. Having the gentle kindness of Jesus as his guide, Peter points us to a way of responding to evil that breaks the endless cycle of hurting those who hurt you. This week, one of Hope’s Elders Rob Cupp will continue our study Gentleness – A Beautiful Way in a Chaotic World with a message titled Responding with Blessing from 1 Peter 3:8-22. If you are unable to join us in person, please visit the 9 a.m. livestream or view the sermon recording here. As a reminder, all past sermon recordings are available online.
THIS SUNDAY | CANNED SOUP DRIVE. Please consider contributing to Community Ministry’s “Souper Sunday” Canned Soup Drive. Canned soup can be dropped off in the foyer collection baskets this Sunday. Thank you!

MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR PAULINE HAINES. In addition to praying for Woody and his family considering Pauline’s passing into Jesus’ presence in December, please save the date to bless Woody and his family with your presence on Friday, February 16 at 11 a.m. for a service to thank God for Pauline at Hope Church followed by a reception in the Reception Hall downstairs.
FINANCIAL UPDATE. In September, our income and expenses were almost the same. In October, our income was significantly higher than our expenses due to a significant gift. In November, our income was slightly higher than our expenses. In December, our income was significantly higher than our expenses due to year-end gifts. In January, our income was slightly higher than our expenses due to a few residual year-end gifts. Overall, our normal giving has been slightly less than our budgeted amount, our extra giving—including the gifts in October and December—is above budget, and our expenses are slightly under budget. We continue to be in a cash-positive position in the first half of this ministry year. Thank you, Lord for continuing to provide financial peace! We thank God for the many households who give generously and consistently to Hope Church, resourcing us to fulfill Christ’s mission and vision in our community and around the world! You can give online here, by mailing a check to 1801 S. Logan St. Denver, CO 80210, or by using the offering boxes in the sanctuary.
