Dear Hope,
As we seek to be a loving and faithful church, one of our summer projects is to work with some upcoming changes with Hope’s staff at the end of August to divide responsibilities into multiple volunteer roles. As this work progresses, I have enjoyed conversations with some of you who are considering bringing your experience and expertise to serve with Hope as Ministry Coordinators (or as the Bible says, “deacons and deaconesses”). Also, we are clarifying job descriptions for who will work on teams with our future coordinators. Please join us this Sunday at 9 a.m. to sing, pray, discuss how the church is like the body of Christ as described in 1 Corinthians 12 and enjoy pancakes & sausage afterwards. If you are desiring to serve but aren’t sure what that could look like, this Sunday is for you. And, yes – pancakes & sausage are really a part of the morning plan! I hope you can join us!
Love, Dean

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY.
Children’s Church. This 1st Sunday of July, kids 3 yrs old – entering 5th grade are invited to Children’s Church. We are continuing our experiential journey of the Bible, where we will be looking for clues that point to the incredible ways God loves us.
Nursery. The nursery is available this week, and every 1st and 3rd Sunday, for younger children, 0-2 yrs old.For questions regarding Children’s Ministry policies and procedures or interest in volunteering, please contact Becky Newquist.
HOPE KIDS | EVENING IN THE PARK. Kids and volunteers from Hope gathered Friday night for a cookout, games, and crafts. We had so much fun with water balloons, bubbles, balls, and just being silly with our friends. We got messy constructing firefly lanterns that each child got to decorate and take home with them to remember God is always with us, lighting our way. One kiddo exclaimed at the end, “This was more fun than summer camp!”
MENS’ CAMPING TRIP THIS FRIDAY, JULY 12-13. Sometimes men need to be with men, doing men stuff, eating men’s grub in the great outdoors! Men of ALL ages: Hope is hosting a camping trip THIS Friday, July 12-13 along West Creek, just south of Deckers. Dinner and breakfast will be provided. You are responsible for your lunch. If you don’t have a tent or sleeping bag, no worries. We will provide this for you. Please RSVP to Rebecca Wertz, who is organizing this on Dean’s behalf.
