Bake Sale to send the Hoot Family to Hope Heals Camp

Children’s Ministry is coming along side Ethan and his family to help raise funds for them to volunteer at Hope Heals Camp this summer. Volunteers for Hope Heals pay their own way to serve other families living with disability for a life-changing Christian family camp experience. Please consider signing up to bake (with your kids!) one or two dozen goodies to sell at a bake sale on Sunday, June 25th. This is a great way to support our friend in Children’s Ministry as well as bless the campers the Hoots are going to serve!

9 AM SUNDAY WORSHIP | JUNE 11. Over the past 6 months we have been on a journey through God’s story in the Old Testament. Join us this Sunday at 9 a.m. as all ages unite for a family service to sing, celebrate communion and learn together. During our message time, our approach will be interactive, hearing from one another any new insights gained from our study, what God has revealed about Himself and/or how our lives have been changed through our journey from creation through Israel’s restoration over the past 6 months. Please consider these ideas in advance, come ready to share and anticipate learning from others who share. We look forward to being with you for this fun and collaborative celebration as a church family! If you are unable to join us in person,  please visit the 9 a.m. livestream or view the recording here.

THIS SUNDAY | SERVICE OPPORTUNITY! This Sunday, June 11, directly after our Service, we’ll have a volunteer opportunity to make our campus more welcoming, hospitable, and enjoyable for our church, the other churches that meet on our campus, and the neighbors that use Hope Park and pass by.  We’ll be pulling weeds, replacing old mulch and torn weed cloth, re-burying drip lines, and doing any other yard work that’s needed for about two hours, and we’ll provide lunch midway through for everyone who volunteers to serve. We have all the necessary gear to accomplish this, however feel free to bring your own and please dress appropriately. Thank you for serving!

HOPE GROUPS. The Sunday’s Service will be hosted by the Harvard Gulch  Hope Group. Thank you Platt Park for helping and serving! If you’ve been thinking about joining a Hope group, we’d love to connect with you! Click herfor more information.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY. June’s Family Service will be this Sunday. Children of all ages are invited to participate in worship and teaching along with their families. On Family Service Sundays, there is no Children’s Church or Nursery. Instead, activity packets and sermon notes for preschool and elementary aged children will be available at the Welcome Booth. Families with young children are also invited to utilize our Baby Sky Box for added privacy. There WILL be Children’s Church on the 3rd and 4th Sundays this month. For more information about Hope’s Children’s Ministry, please contact Becky Newquist.

YOUTH.
–Thank you so much to everyone who joined us for our Summer Kick-Off! It was really fun to relax, grill, and play outdoor games with everyone.
–This coming Sunday, June 11, we will not be having Youth Group – because instead we will be inviting the students to come and join the church for the Yard Work Service Opportunity! Bring your comfy clothes and get ready to get your hands dirty!
–And look out: this summer we will be following a new series during youth group: Alpha Youth. Alpha is designed to help students answer life’s toughest questions about our faith and culture. Each youth group we will be watching a video, having a discussion, and enjoying snacks and games together! Traveling over the summer? No worries! You can watch the Alpha videos at home to keep up with the conversation happening at Hope.
–This week, since we won’t be having youth group, click this link to watch the first session of Alpha Youth on your own and get excited for future sessions!
