Hello Hope Church!
I am both honored and blessed to have the opportunity to introduce myself to this beautiful congregation and to become a part of this loving community of faith. A little about myself: I am a student at Colorado Christian University pursuing a degree in biblical archaeology and hope to soon attain my masters in this area as well. I am a Colorado native and a board game connoisseur. But above all else, I am a follower of Christ, striving each day to live out His teachings and to share His love with those around me. As I embark on this new chapter of my spiritual journey with you, I am filled with anticipation for the blessings and opportunities that lie ahead. I am eager to get to know each of you, to worship and pray together, to learn and grow together, and to support and encourage one another in our walk with Christ. Please feel free to reach out to me at any time. I am here not only to introduce myself but also to build meaningful relationships within this church family. Together, let us continue to seek God’s will and to glorify Him in all that we do.
For the Master,
Emma

MARCH 10 | 9AM WORSHIP & COMMUNION. Continuing our series of “gentleness,” this Sunday we get to talk about what good leadership looks like. It seems like good leaders are harder and harder to come by. Nearly everyone has stories of a difficult boss or an always-disappointed coach. Need we go into detail about the lack of enthusiasm in our country right now regarding the leaders of our nation? Peter brings an exhortation to leaders (and we’re all leaders to some extent!) that is counter cultural for his time and perhaps even more so today. Join us Sunday as one of Hope’s elders Dan Kaskubar will be bringing a message titled Leadership With A Humble Stance from 1 Peter 5:1-7. If you are unable to join us in person, please visit the 9 a.m. livestream or view the sermon recording here. As a reminder, all past sermon recordings are available online mid-day Monday.
HOPE GROUPS. We are so thankful for all the Sunday service assistance from our wonderful Hope Groups. This Sunday, we thank the Harvard Gulch Hope Group for helping! Hope Groups are an amazing way to connect to others, deepen your relationship with God, and discover there is a family here for you at Hope. If this sounds like something you are interested in, we’d love to have you join us! Click here for more information on all our Hope Groups.
YOUTH. Attention all middle and high school students! Please join us this Sunday for Youth Hope Group following the service from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. in the Youth Room. We will have snacks, games, and discussion. See you there!
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY.
Children’s Church. Kids, ages 3 yrs old – 5th grade are invited to Children’s Church this Sunday! We are continuing our Lent series, “Walk in His Ways”, experiencing some of the great parables of Jesus. This week, join us as we study and apply the parable of The Foolish Rich Man, exploring the difference between wants and needs and considering as God’s people how we can help care for everyone.
Nursery – Childcare for babies and toddlers, ages 0-3, is available on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. Families with young children are invited to remain in the sanctuary or utilize the baby sky box on all other Sundays.
For any questions regarding Children’s Ministry policies and procedures or interest in volunteering, please contact Becky Newquist.
Hey Hope & Reclamation Families – Calling all Kids: Toddlers thru 5th Grade! Join us Saturday March 30, 10 – 11:00 a.m. (and invite a friend or 2!) for an exciting Easter Egg hunt at Hope/Reclamation’s campus. Filled eggs will be scattered both outside at Hope Park and in the Sanctuary. In addition to the egg hunt, the event will include: Easter art and card-making table, refreshments, and Friendship Baskets (Please bring an extra basket to fill and drop on the doorstep of a neighbor or friend who may not know Jesus or belong yet to a local church family.)
Adult & teen volunteers needed to fill eggs, donate prizes, and volunteer on the day of the event for set up, running the event, and clean up. To volunteer, please sign up at the Info Booth or reach out to Becky Newquist!
FOOD BANK. The Community Ministry is in need of the following items: corn, jelly, and size 6 diapers. Please consider donating these items by placing them in the collection basket in the foyer. Thank you, Hope!
GIVING. We thank God for the many households who give generously and consistently to Hope Church, resourcing us to fulfill Christ’s mission and vision in our community and around the world! You can give online here, by mailing a check to 1801 S. Logan St. Denver, CO 80210, or by using the offering boxes in the sanctuary.
