In the next few days, Kelsey Hoot will be heading out to Honduras to serve God in Missions with Colorado Christian University. Along with Kelsey will be about 16 others including Hope, a student at UCC, who has recently visited Hope Church! We had the honor Sunday to pray over Kelsey and those going on the trip with Compassion International. One thing they are hoping to do is meet the many children they have been sponsoring in the village as they will be helping with Vacation Bible School and other service projects. Please keep the students in prayer over the next few days (the trip is approximately one week long), for safety during travel and while in Honduras, and for the people of the village being served. Kelsey asked the church to pray specifically for the group to minister to the people and just really listen to God’s leading in what they are meant to accomplish.
WORSHIP SERVICE | SUNDAY MAY 26 | 9 AM. Have you ever been rejected by someone you thought you could trust? Do you know the unique pain of abandonment? Join us this Sunday at 9 a.m. for our 4th-Sunday family service (all ages included) to pray, sing, and engage a fascinating true story about a woman who was rejected and sent away feeling unloved and alone, until God appears to her and reveals that He is “El Roi”, the God who sees! Pastor Dean Wertz will be interviewing Dana Yost in an interactive service exploring Genesis 16 and The God who Sees. If you are unable to join us in person, please visit the 9 a.m. livestream or view the sermon recording here. Also, sermon recordings are available online mid-day Monday.
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY.
This 4th Sunday of the month is a Family Sunday. Kids of all ages are invited to remain in the service with their families. We encourage children to participate in worship and engage in all aspects of the service as they are able. Kids activity packets are provided at the welcome booth. The baby sky box is also available for families with babies and toddlers. For any questions regarding Children’s Ministry policies and procedures or interest in volunteering, please contact Becky Newquist.
YOUTH | THANK YOU JAMES & TARA! Recently, the Youth Group gathered to say “thank you!” to Hope’s amazing Youth volunteers James Wertz & Tara Huth. The kids had a blast celebrating these amazing two and all the awesome moments shared. We wish them the best as they move on to new adventures! 🎉✨
Also, we will be having youth this week! We will be continuing our series on finding answers to the big questions!
JUNE 2 | CHURCH SPRING CLEANING DAY.
Hope Family,
Every year our homes need a good spring cleaning. Hope’s big home is no exception. As one of Hope’s family members, would you please consider taking a few hours after church on Sunday June 2 to clean? We will have many different jobs to choose from (both indoors & outside/please bring a weeder if you have one!). This is the one Sunday we encourage you to wear your “grubbies” to church! And, another incentive… there will be pizza for those of us who work!
Thank you and hope to see you all,
Rebecca Wertz | Prayer Coordinator & Facility Use Coordinator
