Dear Hope,
Tomorrow, May 10, we will gather for what followers of Jesus call “the Lord’s Day” and Americans call “Mother’s Day.” For some, tomorrow is a day of celebratory joy while for others it is difficult. Some prefer quiet solitude on Mother’s Day. Some desire the loving presence of others at church. When we gather tomorrow, we will worship God through singing, prayer, receiving God’s message through Rob Cupp, gathering at the Lord’s Table and loving one another. This Sunday, we will also celebrate and pray for Moms and all the women in our community.
With love and gratitude for each one of you in this family called Hope,
Dean

MISSIONARY HIGHLIGHT. Hope is honored to unite through prayer, encouragement and financial support with missionaries who serve in Denver and throughout the world. Please see below for this month’s missionaries who are diligently serving God daily. Enjoy the video, below, which is a recording from last week’s Sunday Service.
Nate & Joy Hoot: Colorado
Nate & Joy, and their family have been serving in various capacities at Hope Heals Camp for the last several summers. They have partnered with HHC to come alongside people and families living with disability, through counseling, praying, and leading workshops. Please pray for them as they prepare, and will continue to serve campers and families again this upcoming July.
Nate & Joy began their ministry, Awakening Hope, through navigating their personal journey of disability after their son, Ethan, was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. They both have a heart to listen to, and encourage other parents and caregivers, who are on similar paths. They serve individuals and families across the U.S. by providing a safe space for others to share their grief and pain, while reminding them that they are seen and loved by their Heavenly Father. Nate and Joy live in Aurora, CO, with their daughter, Olivia, and son, Ethan. Their oldest daughter attends college in a Denver suburb, and Hope is their home church.
