9AM SUNDAY WORSHIP | NOVEMBER 26. The Future is something we don’t control. For some it is something to look forward to. For others it is something to fear. As disciples of Jesus we have a future to be hopeful and excited about – Heaven! But, we are not there yet. How can we live well now with our heavenly future in mind? This week complete’s our series, The Relevance of Christ. The message (from Hope Elder Rob Cupp) is titled Christ is Our Future and is based on Revelation 21:1-4. We look forward to seeing you! If you are unable to join us in person, please visit the 9 a.m. livestream or view the sermon recording here.
HOPE GROUPS. We are so thankful for all the Sunday service assistance from our wonderful Hope Groups. This Sunday, we thank the Young Adults Hope Group for helping! Hope Groups are an amazing way to connect to others, deepen your relationship with God, and discover there is a family here for you at Hope. If this sounds like something you are interested in, we’d love to have you join us! Click here for more information on all our Hope Groups.
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY. Children’s Ministry. This 4th Sunday of the month is a Family Sunday. Kids of all ages are invited to remain in the service with their families. Activity packets and sermon notes are available in the welcome booth. We encourage children to participate in worship and engage in all aspects of the service as they are able. The baby sky box is also available for families with babies and toddlers.
YOUTH. Join us for our LASER TAG TONIGHT – Friday, November 24 from 6 to 9 p.m. We’ll have pizza, movies, and play tons of laser tag through the whole building! Feel free to invite your friends! If you are inviting any guests over 18 years old, please let Arik Stewart know for a quick background check. RSVP in Church Center here or email Tara with any questions!
Also, we will be having Youth Group after service from 10:15 – 11:15 a.m. this coming Sunday, November 26 – join us for snacks, prayer, discussion and games!
Christmas Giving Tree. If you are looking for an opportunity to bless kids in our community this Christmas season, please stop by our Giving Tree in the foyer. There you will find ornaments labeled with a gift or gift card for a specific child or family at Asbury Elementary, who otherwise might go without a special gift or meal this Christmas. Gift requests range from $5 – $50, so there is something for everyone. You can select an ornament of your choice, purchase the gift on the label, and return to Hope (unwrapped) by December 12. If you have any questions, or would like to participate in the Giving Tree remotely, please contact Becky.
CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON FOR SENIOR WOMEN & FRIENDS. During this beautiful and joyful Christmas season we remember and rejoice at the birth of our Savior! You are invited to enjoy a delicious “all you can eat” meal with us at Golden Corral Restaurant on Tuesday, December 5 at 11:30 a.m. Golden Corral is located at 3677 South Santa Fe Drive, Englewood 80110. A private room is reserved and Hope will be covering the gratuity for you. Please sign up at the Information Booth in the Sanctuary or text/call Marti Oertli at 720-220-2224 to RSVP.
CHRISTMAS EVE @ HOPE. Mark your calendars for two unique services on Christmas Eve, Sunday, December 24!
9:00 a.m. Sunday Worship
6:00 p.m. Christmas Eve Candlelight Celebration
The morning service will be a traditional Sunday morning service, featuring a shorter worship session and a standard message time.
The evening service will feature Christmas favorites, such as a children’s choir performance and carols by candlelight at the end of the night. The message time will be a brief Jesus-exalting message, perfect for friends and family who may not be regular church-goers.
Feel free to attend either or both services as your family plans allow. We are excited to share in this special time of year with you all!
FINANCIAL UPDATE. Last month, our income and expenses were almost break-even. This month, our income was significantly higher than our expenses due to God prompting a household within our community to give a generous one-time gift. Thank you, Lord for continuing to provide financial peace! If you have any questions about Hope’s financials, please contact Arik Stewart.
GIVING. We thank God for the many households who give generously and consistently to Hope Church, resourcing us to fulfill Christ’s mission and vision in our community and around the world! You can give online here, by mailing a check to 1801 S. Logan St. Denver, CO 80210, or by using the offering boxes in the sanctuary.
UPDATED | FOOD BANK. The Community Ministry is in need of the following items: Boxed pie crust mix, cake mix and frosting, canned pumpkin, size 6 diapers, wipes, boys boxer briefs size 10/12, and plastic or reusable bags. Please consider donating these items by placing them in the collection basket in the foyer. Thank you, Hope!
