Fall Festival & Coat Drive: A Success!
Dear Hope,I would like to personally extend an enormous thank-you to everyone who joined us for the Fall Festival this past Sunday. This year was even more amazing than last year, in no small part due to our our partnership with Reclamation Church (who rents the Sanctuary on Sunday evenings). We saw a lot of new faces and made tons of new connections! There were so many amazing costumes from the adults, youth, and all the children. We enjoyed homemade pumpkin pie, caramel corn, and tons of desserts. We also enjoyed pumpkin bowling, professional face painting (time donated by Cheryl, of Reclamation) and corn hole.
Thank you as well for your enormous generosity in donating coats – we received almost 100 coats, hats, scarves, and gloves in ourCoat Drive that will be delivered this week, which is a huge blessing to our ministry partners and the many refugee families in Denver. We praise God for a community of Christ followers that care for each other and our neighbors in need.
Until next year!
Tara Farrell, Ministry Coordinator
9AM SUNDAY WORSHIP | NOVEMBER 5. Many of our neighbors, classmates, teachers, coworkers, supervisors, friends, and family don’t believe and may never believe that they’re sinners who need a savior. But they will believe, at some point in their lives, that they’re mortal, that death is inevitable. This universal human experience is where Jesus, who died and rose again, is relevant to all people. Our message this week (from Executive Pastor Arik Stewart) is titled The Relevance of the Resurrection and is based on Matthew 28:1-10. We look forward to seeing you! If you are unable to join us in person, please visit the 9 a.m. livestream or view the sermon recording here. This Sunday, the children’s choir will be singing – you won’t want to miss this special event!
REMINDER. This Weekend is daylight savings time! Don’t forget to set your clocks one hour back!
HOPE GROUPS. We are so thankful for all the Sunday service assistance from our wonderful Hope Groups. This Sunday, we thank the Harvard Gulch Hope Group for helping! Hope Groups are an amazing way to connect to others, deepen your relationship with God, and discover there is a family here for you at Hope. If this sounds like something you are interested in, we’d love to have you join us! Click here for more information on all our Hope Groups.

YOUTH. Don’t forget, we are having Youth Group this Sunday, November 5 from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. in the Youth Room down the hall. There will be a special announcement this week – along with our usual snacks, prayer, discussion and games!
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD. Join us this Saturday, November 4 as we hold an impromptu Sorting Party in the Commons from Noon to 5:00 p.m. Come and help sort the gifts that we already have for next year’s OCC shoebox packing party! Also, if anybody has empty large to medium size plastic containers that they would like to donate to OCC to put the sorted items, please bring them to the church at any time. I would like to THANK everybody that either helped or donated items to sell at the Bake Sale. Your help was greatly appreciated. I could not have done it without you. Thank you also for your donations that was given to help pay for the shipping of the boxes. Our total donations came out to over $1700, which was above and beyond our initial goal! Praise God!
With Great Appreciation and Love
GOD Bless to all,
Joan Thacker
GIVE. We thank God for the many households who give generously and consistently to Hope Church, resourcing us to fulfill Christ’s mission and vision in our community and around the world! You can give online here, by mailing a check to 1801 S. Logan St. Denver, CO 80210, or by using the offering boxes in the sanctuary.
RAKING LEAVES. If you’re able and willing, please bring a rake or a leaf blower and join Arik in front of the church building directly after our service this Sunday to gather up the leaves from our beautiful maple, ash, and aspen trees.
SUNDAY RECORDING ACCESS. Although our 9 a.m. livestream will continue to stream the full Sunday service, please note that our website recordings will now only include the Sunday sermon. Currently, we are unable to record our worship music at the same level of quality as is experienced in-person through the sanctuary speakers. Once we are able to match the quality of the music in-person over livestream, we hope to once again include the full service in the recorded posting. If you are in the pattern of worshiping via the full recorded version of the service and would like to have continued access to that, please reach out to Becky Walker. Thank you for all those who support Hope via livestream and online!
