9AM WORSHIP TOMORROW – Join us for a great morning of praise and worship at 9 a.m.! Pastor Dean brings us a sermon titled Available to the Spirit from Acts 8:26-40 Thanks to the Platt Park Hope Group for assisting with hosting our morning tomorrow! As a reminder, the Sunday Service is available via livestream and the sermon is posted online on Monday.
First Sunday of October. October 4 we will celebrate the 27th Birthday of Hope Church! Plan for an informal Sunday with a potluck to follow. More details soon!
Baptism October 11. We are planning to facilitate an opportunity to be baptized during the Service on Sunday, October 11. If you are interested in being baptized, please reach out to Pastor Dean or Administrative Assistant Aubrey Milton.
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY.
Children’s Church. Kids, preschool age through 5th grade, join us Sunday for Children’s Church as we continue our series in the book of Acts. This week, we’ll be learning about how a believer in the early church followed the Holy Spirit’s prompting to share the Gospel, and how God wants to use us today to point others to Jesus. If you’d like to read the story ahead, check out Acts 8:26-40.
Babies and Toddlers – At any point before or during the Sunday Service, the Baby Sky Box is available for caregivers and their babies and toddlers.

THIS TUESDAY – INVITE YOUR FRIENDS FOR COMMUNITY NIGHT DINNER AND A WHOLE LOT OF FUN – WE’RE GOING TO LEARN TO DANCE! Have you ever been at a wedding and not known what to do when the dancing starts? NEVER AGAIN! Join our very own dance instructor Aubrey Melton every Tuesday through September 29 for Wedding 101 Swing Dance Lessons AND a great dinner and time with friends. YOUTH GROUP! Youth Group is now meeting Sundays from 5-7 p.m. Join us for worship, study, food & fun! Please note that on Sunday, October 25, Youth Group will join the rest of the Church for the Fall Festival. Please bring friends! Also, we are still looking for volunteers that can cook – The Youth Group is in need of our assistance to make dinner/s for approximately 6-12 teenagers for one or more Sunday Night Youth Group gatherings at the church. FINANCIAL UPDATE. The financial snapshots for August will be published in next week’s bulletin. This one-week delay is due to extra steps required to close the books due to Hope’s fiscal year ending on August 31.
