Dear Hope Family,
I’m writing with bittersweet news about a dear member of our Hope family, Ardetta Paul. This past Wednesday, at the age of 90, Ardetta went home to be with her Lord and Maker. She had been part of Hope since the fall of 2002. Her health had been declining in recent years. After recently suffering a stroke, she declined quickly.
Those who knew Ardetta knew her as a caring, loving, and faithful woman. For years, she served in the nursery, joyfully holding and caring for babies. She also faithfully sent cards to those who were homebound, offering encouragement and reminding people that they were loved. I was blessed to receive her encouraging cards, as were many others in our church family. We have missed her presence at Hope these last couple of years, and we are grateful for the many ways she shared Christ’s love with us.
A viewing and time to visit with Ardetta’s family will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery on Thursday, September 10, from 2-6 p.m. A memorial service will take place the following day, Friday, September 11, at 9 a.m., followed by a brief graveside gathering at 10:00 a.m. Crown Hill is located at 7777 West 29th Ave., Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
Please pray for Ardetta’s three adult children and the rest of her family as they grieve. We grieve with hope, knowing that Ardetta is with the Lord she loved. Perhaps her husband was second in line to welcome her home.
With love,
Dean

9AM TOMORROW – SHORTENED INFORMAL SERVICE & BRUNCH! Due to the holiday weekend and so many people traveling (including staff and volunteers), we are holding a Service that will be informal and shorter in length. We will have a brief devotional led by one of Hope’s elders Rob Cupp and our new Worship Leader, Scott Newquist, will lead worship. After the service, we will share a meal together where Hope will provide pancakes, sausage, juice & coffee. Please bring something to share (brunch-like). Please note – we will not have a livestream this week and therefore, will not have a recorded sermon online. Thanks and see you at Church!
Baptism October 11. We are planning to facilitate an opportunity to be baptized during the Service on Sunday, October 11. If you are interested in being baptized, please reach out to Pastor Dean or Administrative Assistant Aubrey Milton.
Hey Church: Can you cook? Here’s an opportunity to serve! We are looking for volunteers to make dinner for approximately 6-12 teenagers for the Sunday Night Youth Group meetings at the church. One-and-done or on a 1x/month basis would be amazing. Please let Aubrey know if you are able to help! Thank you!

This was a great opportunity to share about Hope with many college age students! Staff had wonderful and intentional conversations with those that visited the booth. We pray these amazing students find the right church for them to grow in their relationship with the Lord. If you see any new college visitors – please be sure to welcome them!
