EASTER SUNDAY WORSHIP. From His childhood through His crucifixion on Good Friday, Jesus interacted with children, women and men from all walks of life. Heaven conversing with ordinary people like you and me. Then, He died for the sins of the world and His lifeless body was placed in a tomb. Silence. Sadness. Despair. What was to come – an arisen King – changed everything! Join us at 9 a.m. this Sunday as we celebrate one of the many gifts from our Resurrected Savior, the ability to once again, hear His voice! Lead Paster Dean Wertz will bring us a message entitled Easter Sunday: Conversations with the King from John 20:11-18. Worship with us in person, via livestream or view the recording here.
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY. Children of all ages are invited to worship together with their families in our intergenerational Easter celebration. There will be no children’s church or nursery on this special Sunday. The baby skybox is available for families with babies and toddlers who would like to participate with some additional privacy and sound management.
EASTER EGG HUNT. Following our Service, all kids are invited to a special Easter Egg Hunt in Hope Park. In addition to the fun of a traditional egg hunt, children will work together to search for numbered eggs, each with a unique symbol inside that tells the story of key events leading up the Resurrection of Jesus! Every child will go home with an Easter story book accompanying their “Resurrection eggs” and a goodie bag. The hunt will commence 5 minutes following the close of the Easter service at Hope Park, (next to the church on the northwest side of Grant St & Colorado Ave).
WORSHIP. Last week we introduced the song “All Hail King Jesus”. This Sunday we will be singing this song unto Him again. Think about the lyrics “For in a dark cold tomb; Where our Lord was laid; One miraculous breath; And we’re forever changed.” How is it true that we have been forever changed because of the miracle of Christ’s resurrection? Enjoy the song below as you ponder and worship!
YOUTH. Hey, parents and students! We heard from many of you that you’ll be enjoying family events and Seder Dinners together this Friday night (tonight) – so we are postponing our Minute-to-Win It Game Night. There will be more details on the rescheduled date later, but enjoy time at home this weekend, and we can’t wait to see you on Easter Sunday!
