But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope:
The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
“The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”
Lam. 3:21-24 (ESV)

Dear Hope,

God never fails. In uncertain times, there is a promise – God never fails.

I have watched you, the people of this church, band together and lift each other up. I have watched flexibility and resolve to connect with one another, worship our King and love neighbors in new and unexpected ways. People who supported leadership and each other in prayer and a congregation that gave not only what you were able, but at times (including 2020 end-of-year offerings) – above and beyond. Thank you so much!

It is what we learned in 2020 that brings excitement and hope to 2021. We are a people certain that God never fails. That walking with Him makes a difference. Walking closely means we enjoy His companionship and we become more like Him (just like we do with our own friendships). As we embody the presence and ways of Jesus, our neighbors notice our kind and peaceful ways.

So, I am excited to see what the year ahead brings as we continue to walk together with God and be Christ’s light shining throughout Metro-Denver and so far beyond!

Thank you for making Hope a with-God community that I, like so many of you, am grateful and proud to be a part of!

God never fails,
Dean
