Perhaps you listened to Pastor Dean’s message a few weeks ago in which he talked about his time as a college student at Moody Bible Institute. He told about another student who invited Dean to come with him to preach and interact with others about Jesus on the streets of Chicago. Surrounded by high rises on busy corners, Dean did some stretching and growing that day. He learned important lessons from a man who encouraged him to take the good news to the streets! That influential man is Greg Piper, and Hope Church has been praying for and supporting Greg and Ludmila for many years as valued ministry partners!
Ludmila loves to take the Gospel (the Good News that Jesus is Lord) to Israel where she works with Jewish people who have a Russian background. Greg’s ministry includes work with churches in Germany and serving as an evangelist (one who heralds the Good News of Jesus) in Greece, India, and Israel. Thank you for your prayers and offerings to Hope that empower us to unite with these great partners, Greg and Ludmila Piper!

PALM SUNDAY SERVICE 9 AM | MARCH 28. This Sunday, Pastor Rob brings us a message entitled What Type Of King Are You Looking For? On a very important day in Jesus’ life, He announces that He is the King and Messiah. However, He realizes many people were looking for a very different type of King – one that would do what they wanted and make the world into the place they wanted it to be. Just as the crowd was challenged that day, we have a choice to make as well…what type of King do we want Jesus to be? Join us Sunday in person or online (live and recorded service)!

PRAYERS FOR BOULDER. Our hearts are breaking for those who lost loved ones in the senseless killing in Boulder on Monday. Please pray for all involved including the family of police officer Eric Talley, who bravely rushed in to protect innocent shoppers and store staff who were under attack. Ask the Lord to provide believers in Boulder with opportunities to help the hurting to find comfort and strength in Christ.
KIDS EASTER ACTIVITIES. In lieu of our traditional Egg Hunt at Platt Park, we are distributing supplies to the children of Hope families for egg hunts at home and providing toys and treats for each child to bless a friend or neighbor with a surprise Easter gift bag! Please join us this Sunday (3/28) after the service until 10:30 a.m. on Hope’s North Lawn to pick up your family gift and to have kids select toys, candy, and eggs to fill their surprise gift bags!
EASTER SUNDAY COMMUNION. On Easter Sunday (4/4), we will be taking communion together as a church family in a Covid-safe way. Going forward we will be celebrating communion approximately once per month. For those who join our services online, please prepare your own bread and juice for Easter Sunday. If you’d like to have a supply of the communion elements from Hope, come to the church’s North lawn between 10 and 10:30 a.m. this Sunday (3/28) and we will distribute communion elements for participation at home.
YOUTH UPDATE. To encourage more Hope students in their walk with God, we have shifted from weekly Wednesday evening Youth Ministry gatherings to semi-monthly Sunday gatherings directly after our worship service. We will continue to follow safe protocols, and will be meeting on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month, except for Easter Sunday which is the 1st Sunday in April. For more information, contact Arik Stewart.
HAVE A NEED? Your Hope family is here for you. If you need prayer, financial assistance, or help in any other way, please reach out to Pastor Jay here.
