The mission for the Internship Program at Hope Community Church is to glorify God by developing ministry leaders through real-world experience and opportunities that will launch them into God’s fullness for them. Tara is a newer member of our congregation and is currently enrolled online at Liberty University for a BS in Biblical and Educational Studies. To supplement the final two semesters of her education, she has joined the team as our first official Ministry Intern.

In this role, Tara works closely with Pastor Rob Cupp and Pastor Dean Wertz to build and encourage community relationships within the congregation, coordinate Sunday morning services, and bring new ideas to existing programs like Hope Groups and communications. She also gets to learn new teaching and preaching skills through first-hand experience that will launch her into a further career in ministry. You might see Tara around the building working in various roles from helping set up facilities, playing guitar with the worship team, or preaching on Sunday mornings.
