Teaching Our Kids to Abide in Jesus

Have you ever had a child ask you a question like, “Who made God?” or “How can Jesus be in your heart and my heart at the same time?” If you’ve been around the kids at Hope, you know that these types of questions are a regular occurrence!

As The Abide Project gets underway this Sunday, the Kids Ministry Team is ready to delve into the big questions about what is means to abide in Jesus. We’ll spend the next 12 weeks exploring things like why we need Jesus, what happens if we try to live without him, and how do we stay close to a God we can’t see. We have parent resources and activities available to support parents as they engage in deeper conversations with their children throughout each week. (Parent packets and other resources are available in the foyer on the Kids Ministry Resource shelf.)

As we embark on this journey we invite you to join with the Kids Ministry in praying for our kids. Will you please pray that the seeds of truth will be planted in the heart of every child at Hope, that the Holy Spirit would cause those seeds to grow, that even the hardest questions will be answered with grace and truth, and that all of our kids will grow in their relationship with Jesus?
