SUNDAY SERVICE 9 AM | October 17. Jesus reigns and He is near to all of His followers. Yet, when difficulties come, it’s natural to get distracted from this central reality. Anticipating hard seasons, Paul used a quill to remind us of several exquisite everlasting facts of faith which he calls the armor of God. This week we will learn why we desperately need to embrace, in our challenging days, God’s breastplate of righteousness! Join us this Sunday (in person or online/live and recorded service) as Pastor Dean brings us a message entitled Why We Need God’s Breastplate of Righteousness from Ephesians 6:10-17.
HOSTING. This week’s Sunday Gathering will be hosted by the Platt Park Hope Group!
YOUTH. We are having our Youth Hope Group this Sunday beginning at 10:30 am, but instead of the usual schedule, we are going to celebrate autumn by taking the students on a trip to a seven-acre Corn Maze! This Corn Maze is organized by the Denver Botanical Gardens at Chatfield Farms. Transportation will be provided, and students will be either dropped off at the church by 11:45 a.m. or taken home by our volunteers. If your student would like to participate, please contact Tara by phone/text 719-464-6812 or email by Saturday to secure a ticket. We can’t wait!
KIDS.
- KIDS MINISTRY. Sunday School for ages 2 years-5th grade is available on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Sundays of each month. Children of all ages are invited to remain in the sanctuary to learn and worship alongside their parents on the 4th and 5th Sundays. The Skybox is available for families with toddlers and babies.
- FAMILY DISCIPLESHIP FRAMEWORK. Head, Heart, Hands. Parents, This is a simple framework for exploring the Scriptures as a family and opening up meaningful conversations with everyone in the family…even in the midst of our busy lives!
- EPHESIANS SCRIPTURE SERIES. Kids and adults are exploring the book of Ephesians this fall. Here is the Scripture Reading Schedule to read along as a family throughout the week to see more of what God wants to reveal to you and your children.

HOLIDAY FOCUS | FOOD BANK COLLECTION. The Community Ministry Food Bank is now collecting food for Thanksgiving and Christmas food boxes. Please consider donating stuffing, pie crust mix, evaporated milk, cranberries, cake and frosting. A collection basket is in the Foyer. Thank you!
