Prayer Ministry: Encounters with the One who heals

Dana Yost leads a vital ministry at Hope that is based on prayer and the belief that Jesus can heal our emotional wounds when we work to identify the underlying issues and bring them before Him to experience his grace and truth. Read this brief and valuable summary of Prayer Ministry to learn more about it — either for yourself, or so you can better explain prayer ministry to a friend or family member who could benefit from the service.

What is Prayer Ministry?

  • Prayer Ministry is similar to Christian counseling in that it helps people overcome and heal from the hurts and struggles of the past and present.
  • At the same time, it’s different from counseling because the Prayer Ministry facilitator helps you connect with the presence of Jesus in order to receive His truth, grace and healing.
  • Prayer Ministry is based on the concept that most of the pain we carry with us from the hurts and struggles we experience in life is rooted in the lies we believe. It’s by receiving inner truth from Jesus and the Holy Spirit that we experience true and lasting freedom.

Who can benefit from Prayer Ministry?

  • All of us.
  • Prayer Ministry can help uncover and remove barriers the stand in the way of hearing God’s voice
  • We all have issues that affect our emotional and spiritual well-being. Prayer Ministry helps us get unstuck and helps us grow.
  • Healing life’s hurts is an essential process in helping us reach our full potential in Christ.
  • If you struggle with issues such as fear, anxiety, anger, depression, or have a habit you can’t break or a sin you can’t seem to conquer, then Prayer Ministry is for you.

What’s involved?

  • Sessions are generally 1½ hours long.
  • Depending on what the issue is, most people meet anywhere from 2 – 8 times.
  • The facilitator will ask questions to help identify the root cause of your issue or struggle and then facilitate a conversation with the Lord to help you tune in to hear His voice and receive His loving truth that sets you free.
  • Prayer Ministry is provided on a donation basis. If you aren’t in a position financially to donate at this time, you are still welcome to come!
