HOPE AT HOME. Click here for the Hope at Home service from last week. Join us this Sunday for a message from Lead Pastor Dean Wertz from Matthew 28:18-20 – The Great Invitation.

SHARING HOPE. Please see this new section below for encouraging news!

WORSHIP LEADER TRANSITION. As many of you know, Seth Slay is transitioning away from being Hope’s Worship Leader to focus 100% on his ministry at Bloom. After a long search for who God would provide to fill this important role, we are happy to announce that Morgan McCullough will be joining our staff as Hope’s New Worship Leader! In last week’s Hope Moment video, Pastor Dean gave a detailed update on the worship leader search, God’s provision of Morgan and the transition plan. Watch the video here.

HOPE GROUPS. Group leaders and members are connecting and caring for one another in various creative ways. If you are not in a Hope Group and would like to be, click here.

Due to several recent extra gifts to our “benevolence” fund we have been able to care for and help several households during this difficult season.

SHARING HOPE

Hope Community Church is dedicated to the service of Jesus through caring and loving others. We would like to share encouraging stories of happenings within the church and in the lives of our church family. Please consider contributing to Sharing Hope by emailing us news that we may include below. Thank you!

HOPE MISSIONS | INNER CITY DENVER. For over 40 years Dennis and Shelley Noble have faithfully served in Denver’s Five Points inner city. Recently, they shared about Miguel, a young man who found God while in prison, trusted Him, and became a changed person. Their story of Miguel shows that transformation of a heart can have great impact in both life and in death… Following Miguel’s prison term, Dennis and Shelley became neighbors (Miguel lived in their church ministry house next door) and was a big help around The Church of the Risen Lord. Miguel did everything from yard work, repairing cars, shoveling show and assisting church members with moving. Dennis shared that late last year, Miguel passed away. The memorial service for this young man was packed with church members, family and friends, many who heard for the first time of Miguel’s dramatically changed life. The service provided an opportunity to share about the difference Jesus makes in a person. Miguel, just week’s before he died, spent time with his mother and she, too, made a life decision to follow God. Thank you Hope for your continued giving and prayer for missions. And thanks to Dennis and Shelley for their commitment and work with precious people such as Miguel.

STAYING IN TOUCH. Jay and Marti Oertli are leading a Hope Group of about 13 in attendance via zoom. Several of these friends are working to contact our seniors, especially those who are either shut-in or don’t have access to or understanding of a computer. If you would like to join these efforts and make phone calls (or if you would like to have someone reach out to you!), please contact Pastor Jay!

SHARING HOPE CREATIVELY. As you know each weekend Hope at Home can now be viewed from all over the world. Consider sharing the service link address with friends and family who may be encouraged during this isolated time. If someone you know would like to be added to our email communication list, please let us know! It’s even possible to share the service through a phone call. Two households are currently doing this so that others without wifi access are able to listen to the church service!
