SHARING HOPE

Hope Community Church is dedicated to the service of Jesus through caring and loving others. We would like to share encouraging stories of happenings within the church and in the lives of our church family. Please consider contributing to Sharing Hope by emailing us news that we may include below. Thank you!

HOLY SPIRIT SERIES. This past weekend, we announced a church-wide Zoom meeting, and several of you joined in Tuesday night! The purpose of the gathering was to discuss the Holy Spirit in order to assist Hope’s Preaching Team for the upcoming sermon series. It was a great, sweet, interactive gathering that blessed all involved as we shared stories, thoughts on the Holy Spirit, and goals for personal growth. It was a wonderful reminder that God has truly blessed Hope with great people who love him and who want to grow in Him together!

HOPE MISSIONS. Chris and Beth Steiner are Hope partners who have been serving with Word of Life Ministries in South Korea, Taiwan, and Nicaragua. Now based in the U.S., Chris works to equip and support their ministry teams overseas, traveling to areas where Word of Life representatives share the Gospel through English for Life classes. Even during the Covid 19 crisis, he tells of their ongoing ministry in Poland: Several teams began doing weekly or bi-weekly online “English Cafes.” English Cafe is a friendly space for people to meet and practice English while talking about topics from the Bible. Within a few weeks, the Poland team had 22 people attending.

Praise the Lord! What a great example of creativity during these difficult days! English as a second language is a great platform for getting the Gospel to those in other countries! Please pray that many will find and follow Christ as the result of Steiners’ ministry.

STAYING IN TOUCH. If you would like to reach out to some of Hope’s Seniors (those who may not have access to computers or who would enjoy some remote company), please consider making phone calls! For more information contact Pastor Jay.

SHARING HOPE CREATIVELY. As you know each weekend Hope at Home can now be viewed from all over the world. Consider sharing the service link address with friends and family who may be encouraged during this isolated time. If someone you know would like to be added to our email communication list, please let us know! It’s even possible to share the service through a phone call. Two households are currently doing this so that others without wifi access are able to listen to the church service!
