9 AM SUNDAY | SEPTEMBER 4. Two weeks ago, Lead Pastor Dean Wertz established the problem of disunity in the church – both in the church in Corinth, and in the world today. Last week, Elder Rob Cupp gave a message on how exalting Christ as our King and surrendering our love to Him can bring us together again. This week, we will discuss how listening to wisdom of the Spirit (and not the wisdom of the world) is absolutely essential to living our lives authentically in unity with Christ and the church. We will also be inviting two special guests onstage to share their personal stories about what it’s like to deny the wisdom of the world, and trust fully in the Spirit of God. Join us this Sunday in person or online to worship God and as we learn from our fourth message in 1 Corinthians entitled Listening to the Spirit. Ministry Coordinator & Youth Ministry Director Tara Farrell continues the series “In Christ in Culture.” See you Sunday!
HOSTING. This week’s Sunday Gathering will be hosted by the Platt Park Hope Group. If you are looking to connect with a group, click here!

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY. This 1st Sunday of September, Children’s Ministry is kicking off a 10 week series on the GOSPEL! John and Cecille Shanks and Kylie Whitaker will be leading the kids through the first essential truth of the gospel, “God is the sovereign Creator of all things”.
Each of the 10 lessons are derived from a family discipleship booklet, “Helping Children Understand the Gospel’, created by one of John Piper’s ministries, Children Desiring God. Copies of the booklet will be available at the Welcome Booth.
