New Check-in Procedure for Children Starts May 21

The Children’s Ministry Team is excited to announce a new check-in procedure for children. Beginning May 21st, parents will use a digital kiosk to check in their kids, and kids will wear a label that matches the parents’ receipt.

The new system will improve the check-in and check-out process for parents and will give the volunteers a secure way to keep every child accounted for while they are in children’s church.

Please provide us with your family information prior to May 21st. There are three ways you can do this:

  1. In person—see Anna McMichael or Carole Ann Risser on Sunday, May 7th or 14th and we will enter your info using our laptop.
  2. Fill out this form and return it to Anna or Carole Ann.
  3. Email the required information to Anna or Carole Ann.

New Check-in and Check-out Procedure

Check-in: All children who will be in the care of Hope’s Children’s Ministry are to be checked in at one of the kiosk stations in the foyer as you arrive at church. You will receive a sticker to place on your child’s back and a receipt to keep with you.

Nursery drop off starts at 10:15 for newborns – age 2 ½.

Preschool-Kindergarten children will stay with their parents during the first portion of the service. When they are dismissed, parents are to walk them to their classroom.

Elementary children will stay with their parents during the first portion of the service. When they are dismissed, a volunteer teacher will meet them in the back of the sanctuary to walk them to the classroom.

Check-out: All children need to be picked up in their classroom and will only be released to a parent with a receipt that matches the child’s sticker.

For parents who want their child to participate in communion near the end of the service, you are welcome to pick up your child from their classroom at any time.

Thank you for your cooperation. Let us know if you have any questions. We will have Children’s Ministry volunteers available to help you check your children in the first few times while we all get the hang of the new system!

Thank you!
