Dear Hope,
Since we pray for God’s kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven and it is clear that social distancing is the only current solution to slowing the spread of COVID-19, our elders and Rebekah Kaskubar (Physician Assistant at Denver Health and Hope Member) have decided to temporarily cancel our Sunday services, groups and all other in-person gatherings until further notice.
At this point in this unexpected season
- Our pastors and staff will continue to work regularly scheduled hours. Please reach out by phone, email or text if you have a need or if there is any way we can support you as you abide in our Lord Jesus.
- We are exploring other virtual options for remaining connected if this reality extends beyond a week or two.
- Please continue to pray for those who are sick, all medical personnel, one another, our city, our country and the people of all nations.
- This Lenten and upcoming Holy Week season reminds us that we are dust and to dust we shall return, that Jesus enters into our suffering and triumphs over it, that all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to our Crucified and Risen King and that present uncertainties will lead to that day when “… the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.” (Habakkuk 2:14)
On behalf of our elders and Rebekah Kaskubar, I will continue to communicate through this email list. All updates will also be posted at hopechurchdenver.org.
May God bless you and all in your household “since we are torn away from you… for a short time, in person not in heart, we endeavored the more eagerly and with great desire to see you face to face,” (1 Thess. 2:17)
Love,
Dean
