9AM – Jesus’ Gifts to Us: God’s Peace | Revelation 5:1-14

When God created the world, it was completely aligned with his will. But, when humanity sinned, it became misaligned, resulting in pain, death, and war. Throughout history, godly leaders have helped us realign our wills with God’s and have helped reestablish peace but it has never been complete nor permanent. Individually and collectively, we alternate between more and less alignment with God’s will but we never achieve perfect or lasting peace. Often, it seems like there will never be a leader capable of achieving it and that thought is truly devastating. However, it’s wrong. There is in fact a leader who can and will enact God’s redemptive plan for the world and such a leader is worthy of all the worship the world can muster.

Christmas Day | Born Like Us For All of Us | Luke 2:1-20

When we recognize how extraordinary God is and how ordinary we are by comparison, we may feel that God is too different from us to understand us or too distant from us to be close to us. But when read the Christmas story with a fresh interpretation, we discover that God came to us in many ordinary ways, easing our fears that he is too different or too distant. Instead, he became like us and came close to us.

Christmas Eve Service | Luke 1:26-35 & Luke 2:7-15

We are so excited to gather with you on Christmas Eve, this Saturday, December 24th at 6 p.m. to celebrate the coming of Jesus! This will be a great service to invite friends and family to come with you to. We will not have an in-person service on Sunday morning but will provide a pre-recorded Christmas service on the Sunday Service page at our web site.

Children’s Christmas Program | Luke 2:1-14

The 4th Sunday of Advent represents the message of the angels and symbolizes peace. Keeping in mind the Children’s play, I’ll be continuing on a similar theme to Rob and Dean, speaking of the miracle of Jesus incarnate, specifically as a baby. The message will address peace in the midst of a giving up of control – that peace comes from radical trust of the Father.

Hail the Incarnate Deity | Mathew 1:18-25

This Sunday is the 1st Sunday of Advent, the church’s four-week journey toward the celebration of Jesus’ birth. Throughout Advent 2022, we will learn the essential reality of Jesus’ incarnation. Join us at 9 a.m. as we worship the Incarnate Deity in song, prayer and a message for all ages lifting up Jesus as “God with us” who has come to save His people from our sins!

Hark the Herald Angels Sing | Luke 2:8-20

As we sing old familiar Christmas hymns, we’re often distracted or disengaged. This is especially true if the songs are difficult to understand. When we take time to learn their biblical and historical roots, we see the messages they depict more clearly. We see the Gospel; the good news that God came to be with us so we can be with him!

Angels From the Realms of Glory | Luke 2: 8-20

This Christmas Hymn first written on Christmas Eve 1816, takes us on a journey through the nativity from the point of view of various groups. In the end, the chorus beckons all of us to “come and worship, come and worship, Worship Christ, the newborn King.” And that is the essential call of Christmas. For everyone and all creation to come and worship Christ the King of the Universe whom we celebrate in this season.

O Come, O Come, Emmanuel

As we begin our advent journey this year, we encounter Hope.  Jesus came as a baby, but not just any baby. He was Emmanuel – God with us! And the great Hope we have is that we serve a God that is with us! Through everything and anything we experience we can long for and hope that Christ will come into our situation and lives because He has done it before, He is doing it now and He will do it again!

Fourth Week of Advent: Peace | Luke 1:39-45, 76-79

Peace is the global focus on this fourth Sunday of Advent. Peace is a good feeling produced by the Holy Spirit when conflict is replaced with loving kindness in our relationship with God, our relationships with one another and within our own souls. Though peace on earth is offered to all, today we discover from relatives of Mary that those who recognize Jesus as Lord will experience sustained divine peace.
