Spiritual Gifts Are For All Who Have God’s Spirit | I Cor. 12:1-3

After learning about God’s Spirit in the Old Testament, how to begin well with the Spirit and what it looks like to be filled with the Spirit, we now turn to the important subject of Spiritual Gifts. As we consider this topic (primarily from I Corinthians 12-14) over the next several weeks we begin in this message where Paul begins, grappling with the essential question of who has the Spirit. What Does it Mean to be Filled with the Spirit? | Ephesians 5:15-20

This indwelling of God’s Spirit is essential for all who desire to have a deeper life with God. The moment we finally see it, it surprises us and amazes us, surpassing our expectations. In the same way, God’s people were assured by prophets, angels, and the Holy Spirit that the Savior of the world was soon to be revealed. When he finally was, the beauty, nature, and purpose of our triune God was boldly presented, a cause for worship and theological reflection.

Hope at Home: The Holy Spirit is the Artist | Exodus 31:1-11

The importance of beauty and artistry are often devalued. Yet, God and His creation are glorious. May the Holy Spirit awaken and empower His artists today to create anew for the good of humanity’s soul and the glory of God.

Galatians: Walk by the Spirit | Galatians 5:13-26

(Due to technical issues, the first several minutes of this message are missing.) How can we become all that God created us to be when temptation is so strong? In this part of his letter to the Christians in Galatia, Paul explains that followers of Jesus have two opposing natures within. He also reveals how we can cooperate with God’s Spirit’s desires rather than our flesh’s destructive desires that we might become all that God has created us to be.
