Bible Reading – John 20: 24-29
Now Thomas, one of the twelve, called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe.”

Eight days later, his disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.” Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Discussion
Head Question
Considering all that Thomas experienced and saw during his 3 years with Jesus, which moments stand out to you as most significant and ones you would have most loved to see?

Heart Question
As you read and imagine this week’s text (John 20:24-29), what emotions do you feel when you imagine Thomas first seeing and realizing that Jesus was alive?

Hand Question
If you find yourself unable to affirm that Jesus is your “Lord” and “God” would you take time this week to read about Jesus in the Gospels known as Matthew, Mark, Luke and John AND pray that God would bless you with the ability to continue seeking while growing in belief?
If you find yourself experiencing a mixture of faith and doubt, would you take time this week to thank God for the degree of faith you have and ask Him to help you in your areas of unbelief?
If you, like Thomas, believe that Jesus is your “Lord” and your “God” will you take time this week to praise and thank God for the gift of faith that has led to your moment by moment union with the Resurrected Jesus?
