Welcome & Worship
Worship isn’t just for Sunday mornings! Our days are very different now, and provide an opportunity to begin a daily practice of worship. We encourage you to be intentional with your worship today (and all week)! Find an instrument in the home and enjoy meaningful worship with the people around you. Or just listening to music in the house (recommendations below) allows you to easily spend time with God & share His joy with those around you.

Bible Reading – Psalm 46:1-3
1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, 3 though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah

Head Questions
Pastor Dean explains the different perspectives of a storm. What is your “storm” and where/who is your refuge? Think about how the striving, fright, or concern turns to stillness (maybe even peace) when the refuge or safety is present.

Heart Question
What are your concerns, frustrations or “storms”? Spend time to think about this, and write these out.

Hands Questions
1. In quiet prayer, ask God “What do you want me to do with these concerns?”
2. Then, simply, be still. In silence see what God might bring to mind. This might be a comfort, a need for confession, or maybe even a thought of a memory. Consider continuing this head, heart, hand exercise throughout the week as troubles will come (life is challenging), but you are not alone without God’s strong and serene refuge.

Suggestions to Cultivate our 4 Core Habits:

Gather
This week cultivate the habit of listening. Whether it be in your home or a phone call to friend, listen, encourage and consider praying for another person.

Grow
Spend 15-30 minutes per day to be silent before God, listen and take refuge in Him. Begin (or continue to use) a prayer journal.
Kids – Fun idea: build a fort for this quiet time!

Go
Call someone who may have a different faith or belief than you. Check-in and listen to them. If appropriate, share how God has worked in your life and/or consider praying for them.
